JCI Induction 2019

50th Induction Oath

The Induction and Turnover Ceremonies is an event where the chapter welcomes new members, aptly called “Baby Jaycees”, formally regularize previous baby members and induct the new set of officers. Indeed, this year, the JCI Lipa 50th Induction & Turnover Ceremonies held last March 9, 2019 went through a baptism by fire as the members all donned red, setting the LAX Events Place ablaze.

50th Induction Medal TransferGuests were welcomed by JCI Lipa Past President and incumbent Vice Mayor of Lipa City, Eric Africa. This was followed by the valedictory speech of 2018 President John Ryan Mitra. Present at the event were 2019 Southern Tagalog Regional Vice President Anna Querrer and 2019 Area Vice President Donna Glinoga for Area 3, who led the charging and induction of the 2019 JCI Lipa officers, respectively.

The 50th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies was attended by 16 Past Presidents of JCI Lipa who took part in the ceremonial turnover of gavel and medallion to the incoming president, Catherene Dimaculangan. After which, President Catherene Dimaculangan delivered her Inaugural speech. 50th Induction Gavel Turnover

A total of 13 members were regularized and 17 babies were inducted that night. The keynote speech was delivered by the Cavite South Regional Vice President Jomar Madlansacay on behalf of the 2019 National President PJ Estrellado. For the Golden Induction, 2019 President Catherene Dimaculangan has requested the presence of 2017 National Executive Vice President and 2018 Assistant to the World President Ken Ngo to be the Guest of Honour.

Afterwards, the guest speaker, JCI Senate and incumbent senator of the country, JV Ejercito, delivered his speech. To formally end the 50th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies, the Overall Chairperson for the event and 2019 Vice President for Internal Affairs Bea Robles delivered the closing remarks. After the adjournment, the fellowship began with a performance by Electro Fire followed by beats by DJ Mark Siangyoo and MC Dean.

The said event is just the tip of the iceberg. As the chapter celebrates its golden year, more projects and events are in store. This year’s color motif was very much fitting to the members’ passion for service to humanity. Red is a hue never to be ignored, just like JCI Lipa.
