At the annual Area Conference, JCI Area III members unite through dynamic workshops, programs, training, and fellowship to provide better impact and to inspire global collaboration to “Be Better”.
Eighteen members of JCI Lipa successfully and gainfully joined the 39th Southern Luzon Area Conference (SOLAC) of the Junior Chamber International Philippines for Area III last September 6-8, 2019 at the Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel in Lucban, Quezon. 2019 President Catherene Dimaculangan headed the delegation with the incoming president (2019 VP for External Affairs) Jed Manguera.
During the SOLAC, JCI Lipa attendees participated in the parade, opening program, training, plenary session, and other activities that were made sure to be fun and exciting by this year’s host, JCI Lucena.
The Dangal Awards ceremony was held on the second night to recognize and honor deserving individuals and local chapters for their outstanding performance and impact in the community. During the awarding ceremony, the chapter won Most Outstanding JCI Local Organization Award for Category 1 with the bid entitled ‘Ala Eh Singkwenta na ang JCI Lipa! – JCI Lipa’.
Four Merit Awards were also given to JCI Lipa for the Asia-Pacific Development Council Training Program Award for the project ‘GINTO: Growth and Impact Nurtured Through Training Opportunities’, the Education for Peace Award for the project ‘Ok ba Toys’, Best Public Relations Program for the project ‘JCI Lipa 50 Years Strong’ and Most Outstanding JCI Family – The House of Presidents.
Two individual recognitions were also given to JCI Lipa members: Most Outstanding JCI Local Organization President – CATHYlist of Change – Catherene Dimaculangan and Most Outstanding JCI Project Chairman – MR. CHAIRming – Gerald Deuda
JCI Lipa’s efforts were also recognized by JCI Philippines as one of the topmost efficient chapters in the country being awarded as 4th place in the JCIPEA ranking in the Area III.
The elections for the 2019 JCI Philippines National Board was also held during the last day of the Area Conference.
