On September 17, 2024, Tuesday, JCI Lipa made a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners by distributing 295 school bags filled with essential school supplies to the elementary students of Barangay Mabini, Lipa City.
This initiative aimed to support and empower these students, giving them the tools to thrive academically and encouraging a brighter future. JCI Lipa remains committed to its mission of creating positive change in the community. At the 2024 Southern Luzon Area Conference, JCI Lipa took the initiative to spotlight one of Batangas' treasures--Kapeng Barako. With the goal of promoting this local brew and elevating the appreciation for the local coffee culture, a coffee farm tour and coffee cupping session was added to the schedule of activities. Delegates had the chance to explore the origins of Kapeng Barako, learn about the rich history of coffee farming in the region, and experience the bold flavors of the brew firsthand. It was a perfect blend of culture, learning, and community!
A special thanks to our partners, Katy's Farm and Communal by Variables, for providing an immersive experience that showcased the immense potential of Kapeng Barako.
